How is it different from Google Drive or OneDrive? +

With a Nextcloud VPS, you own the infrastructure. Your data is hosted in France on your own server, with no third-party analysis, no targeted advertising and full GDPR compliance.

Is Nextcloud already installed on delivery? +

Yes. Nextcloud Hub (including Files, Talk, Calendar, Contacts and Mail) is installed and configured on your VPS from day one. You receive the URL, admin account and password by email.

How many users can I create? +

There is no limit imposed by Ouioweb. The number of users is only limited by your VPS resources. In practice, CLOUD-M (8 GB RAM) comfortably supports 20 to 50 active users.

Can I upgrade storage later? +

Yes. You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. Contact our support to migrate your data losslessly and with minimal downtime.

Is my Nextcloud instance GDPR compliant? +

Yes. Data is hosted in France (Vélizy-Villacoublay), you are the sole administrator of your instance, and no third party has access to your files. This greatly simplifies your GDPR compliance.

Can I connect my own domain name? +

Yes. You can point your domain (e.g. cloud.mycompany.com) to your VPS. Our support helps you set up the Let's Encrypt SSL certificate and reverse proxy.
